Fourth Annual ClubCorp Charity Classic Raises $1.5 Million

Monies Raised Will Benefit the ClubCorp Employee Partners Care Foundation, MDA’s Augie’s Quest and Dozens of Local Charities Throughout the Country

DALLAS (Jan. 13, 2011) — ClubCorp, the world leader in private clubs, announced today that it raised $1.5 million for a variety of charities throughout the U.S. during the 2010 ClubCorp Charity Classic, the world’s largest aggregate golf and dining event. More than 130 properties in ClubCorp’s family of clubs participated with more than 13,000 individuals attending tournaments, dinners and auctions at clubs throughout the country. During the event, each private club within the ClubCorp family of clubs opens its doors to the general public and communities to support many important causes.

Since its inception in 2007, ClubCorp’s Charity Classic has raised nearly $6.5 million benefitting charities including MDA’s Augie’s Quest, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Boys and Girls Clubs and the ClubCorp Employee Partners Care Foundation.

“For the past four years, our clubs, their members and employee partners, and the communities they serve have come together to support many great causes,” said Eric Affeldt, ClubCorp president and CEO. “I am so proud of their hard work, dedication and contributions. Their efforts and the results only reinforce ClubCorp’s ultimate goal of building relationships and enriching lives.”

“I’m thrilled with the amazing results of this year’s ClubCorp Charity Classic, and thankful for the incredible research we’re able to fund because of our partnership,” said Augie Nieto, chief inspiration officer of Augie’s Quest and co-chair of MDA’s ALS Division. “My friend Eric Affeldt’s vision for this event has exceeded all of our expectations and is a true example of reciprocity. ClubCorp’s passion and dedication to eradicating ALS, and supporting so many other worthwhile causes, is inspiring.”

The official date for the Fifth Annual ClubCorp Charity Classic event is Sept. 30, 2011, with events throughout the country to be held from April through October 2011. For more information on the ClubCorp Charity Classic, visit www.clubcorpcharityclassic.com.
