Peter V. Ueberroth

President of the 1984 Olympics and Co-Chairman of the Pebble Beach Company

Peter Ueberroth has been the recipient of numerous awards, including 1984 Man of the Year from TIME MAGAZINE.  He has been awarded the French Legion d’Honneur, and he has received the Sports Torch of Learning Award and Scopus Laureate award from the American Friends of the Hebrew University.

Being both an author and an athlete, Mr. Ueberroth has been inducted into the National Water polo Hall of Fame, and also became a bestselling author with the release of his book, “Made In America.” In addition to being a member of the Young President’s Organization, Mr. Ueberroth served as its International President in 1981-82. He has received 12 honorary degrees from: Notre Dame, Pepperdine, Ohio University, Holy Cross, Claremont-McKenna, Lafayette, Maryland, Loyola-Marymount, San Jose State, Monterey Institute, Rensselaer Polytechnic and U.S.C.
